Customer Delivery Representative - Fuel Driver – Day Tank Wagon (Tuesday – Saturday Schedule)

Job Description

The Customer Delivery Representative, Fuels (Tank Wagon Tuesday – Saturday) will professionally operate equipment to deliver inventories of Lubrication Technologies, Inc. (Lube-Tech) to customers in a cost efficient, safe, courteous and timely manner. The Customer Delivery Representative is involved in customer service issues, ensuring the delivery meets the customer’s needs and will also will manage the security and quality of Lube-Tech materials while loading and unloading of trucks, and delivering to customers.

Key Responsibilities for the Position:

  • Safely and accurately deliver products to customers on time
  • Portray a positive company image through attentive customer service and professional appearance, positive interaction and high work-ethic
  • Engage with customers and build relationships to exceed their expectations through leaving a positive impression and courteous, polite and conversationalist attitude
  • Inform manager of anything observed in the field – customer needs, competition
  • Manage the day; plan schedules; stay organized
  • Accurately maintain records (DOT log books, pre and post vehicle inspection, reconcile loads)
  • Participate in continued education and maintain driver certifications
  • Available for work hours that may require flexible schedule at times
  • Maintain interior cleanliness of truck along with delivery system equipment to maintain a highly reliable, professional-looking delivery vehicle
  • Maintain materials safely and organize on truck to simplify future delivery process and report all safety defects to appropriate personnel immediately
  • Manage the flow of inventory and delivery documents for all material movement
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED equivalent, including basic math and literacy skills
  • Class A license; clean safety record; medical card
  • 1.5 – 2 years of driving experience
  • Ability to get in and out of a truck several times a day; lift up to 75 lbs, push/pull a barrel or dolly up to 600 lbs
  • Additional physical requirements for specific driver position may be tested prior to job offer
  • Effective communication skills and customer service approach – able to engage with others
  • Navigational skills and ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude; adaptable
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to keep track of all records; use hand-held device at times
  • Flexible work schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of driving experience, preferably in similar industry
  • Product knowledge and experience working with fuel/oil
  • DOT rules and regulations, CDL hazmat, tanker endorsement
  • Basic computer skills, including ability to use hand-held devices
